Educational aims of this juce

This section aims to introduce a method of preparing the apical third of a root canal using waves of 6% taper Rotary Nickel Titanium files.

Outcomes :
After completing this short programme, you will understand:
why overusing Profile (aqnd other) NiTi files causes them to fracture
how to reduce the likelyhood of file fracture
why preparation can not be completed with a single file
why a "touch/retract" action is needed
why preparation is done crown-down, starting with the largest file
why waves of filing are needed to complete the NiTi component of the preparation
why NiTi preparation is finished 1mm short of the working length
why the final 1 mm is prepared with 2% hand files
why conventional step-back with 2% hand files is essential to complete the preparation
