Educational aims of this juce


 This page aims to introduce the basic mandibular movements in the saggital (forwards-back) plane.
 It explains and discusses Centric Relation, Retruded Contact Position (Centric Relation Contact Position), and Intercuspal Position.
 It uses animations to show how the mandible moves to achieve these postions.
 It discusses the meanings of "reorganised approach" and "conformative approach", and when to use which one.
 A self assessment with model answers is provided.
