Improve my management of transplant patients Take the Dentaljuce Oral Medicine module, Transplant Patients section.   • provide appropriate precautions and pre-operative and post-operative dental care when treating transplant patients.  

Aim
The aim of the learning and teaching materials in this Dentaljuce module is to allow learners to develop their professional knowledge, understanding and competence in oral medical conditions, in line with their identified personal learning requirements. 

Module objectives
• to teach how to prevent and recognise oral cancer.
• to teach diagnosis and appropriate management of patients with BMS and Sjogren's syndrome.
• to teach appropriate management of patients taking Bisphosphonates.
• to teach the dental management of transplant patients. 

Anticipated learning outcomes:
The learner will:
• be able to assess the oral cancer risk of a patient.
• be able to reduce the oral cancer risk.
• be able to examine a patient for oral cancer
• know when to refer suspected lesions.
• understand the Practice duty of care with respect to oral cancer.
• diagnose and provide appropriate care for patients with Burning Mouth Syndrome.
